Customer Review :

I have been meaning to post pictures and videos of this thing in use for a while. We are extreamely happy with this product. First, though, let me warn that it is HUGE. At over 50 pounds, this is NOT your average projector that you pick up at Best Buy, nor is it likely to be something you carry around with you. This is a projector that is to be mounted in auditoriums. (Make sure you have someone on hand who knows how to suspend a 50 pound projector in the air safely). With it being so heavy, this was not easy to mount in the auditorium, and took three men a good two hours to fashion a mounting bracket, hoist it into the air on a crane, and get it fastened.

The projector came defaulted to Chinese, and had to play with the menus to get it into English. The remote is completely useless if the projector is mounted, as the remote sensor is on the front right next to the lense, and the remote only works within about 10 feet of the projector. Do yourself a favor and hook up the Ethernet cable to it (and assign it a static IP address). Other than that, the projector works great. Has a lense shift and zoom and keystone, so the projector does not have to be perfect. We figured with two bulbs, we could run them one at a time, but it looks SO much better running with two bulbs, especially in a church auditorium where most of the room is filled with light streaming through stained glass windows. (We are throwing about 15 feet. You should not try to throw any projector futher unless you are in a perfectly dark room). The color is vibrant and vivid, and detail pops. It is great for presentations, and for running video. I am going to test it out tomorrow for the first time with Blu-Ray, and expect it to be great. We showed a dvd in there at night about a month ago, and the picture was brighter and sharper than I have seen at most theaters!

This projector is also less than half the price of any other projector in the same Lumen range, making it a great value. I highly recommend this projector. The guarentee of the bulb lasting 4000 hours was also a big saling point to us, as most projectors have a bulb life between 1000-3000 hours. I highly recommend for anyone (especially churches) to look into this projector. Just make sure you are running VGA or DVI or HDMI to it, and make sure you understand cable length limitations, and get your signal amplifier if needed.
